Announcements
Ø The final exam will be on
Friday, April 21st, 9:00 am- noon, in FR Kennedy Brown Gym. More
information to follow in due time. The exam will be on
all the material covered during the course with more weight on Chapter 11
(Complex Analysis); and you will be
tested on the concepts covered in class and in the homework
problems. The exam will be closed book, but you will be permitted to
have 2 two-sided 8.5 by 11 inch sheets of notes to aid you (in addition to this
partial list of formulae that will be
provided with the exam). Here is a sample final exam; and here are the solutions.
Ø Assignment # 8 is due on Thursday,
April 6th, at 11:59pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø Assignment # 7 is due on Thursday,
March 30th, at 11:59pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø Assignment # 6 is due on Thursday,
March 23rd, at 11:59pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø Assignment # 5 is due on Thursday,
March 16th, at 11:59pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø The midterm exam will be
on Thursday, March 2,
during the regular class time; and it will cover Sections 13.1, 13.2, 13.3,
13.5 and 13.7 in Boas’ book and Sections 3.10, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 in Arfken’s book. You will be tested on the concepts covered in
class and in the homework problems. The exam will
be closed book (and notes), but you will be permitted to have one 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of notes (both sides) to aid you. Calculators
will not be allowed (they will not be needed!) No makeup midterm exam
will be given. Here is a sample
midterm exam with solutions.
