Announcements
Ø The final exam will be on
Saturday, December 14th, 1:30-4:30 pm, location to be announced
later. The exam will be on all the material covered
during the course with more weight on Chapter 11
(Complex Analysis); and you will be
tested on the concepts covered in class and in the homework
problems. The exam will be closed book, but you will be permitted to
have 2 two-sided 8.5 by 11 inch sheets of notes to aid you. Here is a
sample final exam; and here are
the solutions.
Ø Assignment # 6 is due on Tuesday,
November 19th, at 11:59 pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø Assignment # 5 is due on Sunday,
November 10th, at 11:59 pm, on Crowdmark.
Ø The midterm exam will be
on Tuesday, October 22,
during the regular class time; and it will cover Sections 13.1, 13.2, 13.3,
13.5 and 13.7 in Boas’ book and Sections 3.10, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 in Arfken’s book. You will be tested on the concepts covered
in class and in the homework problems. The exam
will be closed book (and notes), but you will be permitted to have one 8.5-by-11 inch sheet of notes (both sides) to aid you. Calculators
will not be allowed (they will not be needed!) No makeup midterm exam
will be given. Here is a sample
midterm exam with solutions.
