Required Materials
These materials are required for the course and may be purchased from the University of Manitoba Bookstore
Text Book:	Fundamentals of Physics (Wiley) 10^th edition. The text will be available with volumes 1 - 5 in the Binder-ready version: Volumes 1 and 4 are required for this course (PHYS 1050). Volumes 2, 4 and 5 will be used in PHYS 1070. Volumes 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be needed for the electrical engineering students who will take PHYS 2152	The 9^th edition of Halliday Resnick and Walker may also be used. A list that cross references problems in the 9^th edition with those in the 10^th edition is provided.

Audience Response system:	This system will be used to enhance classroom problem solving and discussion sessions; all students should bring their iClickers to lectures.	The system has also been selected for wide use across campus.
