- determining stellar radius given luminosity and temperature (e.g. compared to the sun)
- determining distance using the Inverse Square Brightness Law (e.g. compare to stars)
- Hubble Law
- lifetime on the MS

- Recall we used this formula to measure the mass in the sun or planet by using an 
   object in orbit such as the earth or a moon. 
         M = v_squared * r/ G 
  Use this for a galaxy to determine its dynamical mass in Msun
   -- look up a galaxy online or in the textbook (e.g. the Milky Way
   -- find out the orbital velocity and radius of its 21 cm gas layer.
   -- remember to convert units!
