PHYS 3630 - Electro and Magnetostatic Theory
(3 Credits)

Material covered will include electrostatics (i.e. Gauss' Law, Laplace and Poisson equations) and magnetostatics (Lorentz force, Maxwell equations) as well as the properties of electrostatic fields in matter and magnetism in materials. Prerequisites: PHYS 2600 (C); and PHYS 2496 or PHYS 2490 or MATH 3132 (C); or permission of the department. PHYS 3496 is recommended.
